Learning that begins from the inside out

EmpathIQ Kids helps children build emotional intelligence through guided play, children’s yoga, and social-emotional learning.

Children learn to understand their emotions, build empathy, and grow in confidence within a calm and nurturing environment.

Emotional skills
shape how children
experience the world

They influence how children handle frustration, build friendships, and navigate challenges with confidence.

Emotional intelligence develops through a set of core skills that help children understand themselves, relate to others, and respond thoughtfully in everyday situations.

Built for flourishing,
not fixing

At EmpathIQ Kids, we are not trying to fix children or manage behaviour.

Emotional intelligence grows when children are supported in understanding their feelings, expressing them safely, and learning how to navigate challenges.

When the mind feels safe and the body feels calm, learning flows naturally.

Feelings are the curriculum.
Play is the classroom.

Experience before explanation

Emotional intelligence is not taught through lectures or worksheets.

Children develop emotional skills through experience, movement, and meaningful social interaction.

At EmpathIQ Kids, this happens through three core elements in every session.

SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Powered by Emotional ABCs®

We follow a structured curriculum that helps children understand emotions, build empathy, and develop the social skills needed to navigate relationships.

KIDS YOGA

Movement, breathing, and mindfulness activities help children regulate their bodies and emotions while building focus and self-awareness.

GUIDED PLAY

Through storytelling, games, and imaginative play, children practise cooperation, empathy, and real-world emotional skills.

OUR COMMUNITY

For young hearts who feel – and deserve the tools to understand those feelings

Children playing a game with wooden blocks in a circle

EmpathIQ Kids welcomes every child.

Emotional intelligence is not something children are simply born with. It is a set of skills that grow through experience, guidance, and practice.

Childhood today is full of noise, speed, and constant stimulation.

We may not be able to reshape the world for our children, but we can strengthen their capacity to meet it.

We are not fixing children.
We are giving them the foundations to flourish.

Part yoga. Part play. Fully intentional.

Each class combines social-emotional learning, kids yoga, and guided play. Sessions are thoughtfully designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, and meaningful, with themes children can easily relate to.

  • Children arrive, explore the space, and ease into the session in a calm and welcoming environment.

  • Hello songs, simple games, and circle activities help children connect with one another while settling their bodies and attention.

  • Using the Emotional ABCs® framework, children explore feelings and practise recognising and expressing emotions.

  • Playful yoga poses and breathing activities help children regulate their bodies and build awareness.

  • Through storytelling, role-play, and games, children practise empathy, cooperation, and problem-solving.

  • A calm reflection helps children process what they experienced and connect it to their everyday lives.

  • Simple art or colouring activities allow children to wind down before the session ends.

Each session lasts about 45 minutes, with a simple take-home activity so families can continue the learning together.

OUR ANSWERS

Questions parents often ask

  • Emotional learning begins much earlier than many people realise. From infancy, children are already developing awareness of feelings and relationships. Our programs support this natural development through age-appropriate play, movement, and storytelling.

  • Not at all. Social-emotional learning supports every child. Just like literacy or numeracy, emotional skills can be developed and strengthened over time. Our programs simply give children a supportive space to practise recognising feelings, building empathy, and navigating everyday social experiences.

  • Each session combines guided play, storytelling, and kids yoga to help children explore emotions in a natural and engaging way. Through these activities, children practise recognising feelings, building empathy, and developing confidence while learning through movement and play.

  • Play is how children learn best. At EmpathIQ Kids, play is thoughtfully guided to help children practise recognising emotions, building empathy, and developing confidence in everyday social situations.
